About Jessie
I'm Jessie Lamb, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. I work with teens and young adults — and the parents trying to help them — at the transition points where a neurodivergent brain feels the ground shift hardest.
Before private practice, I spent eight years as a head school counselor. I sat with hundreds of teens who looked fine on paper and were quietly falling apart — the kid holding it together all day and melting down the moment they got home, the bright student who couldn't say why everything suddenly felt impossible. I learned how ADHD and autism actually show up in a real kid's day, not a textbook, and how the school system works from the inside: what it can offer a struggling student, and where it runs out of room.
I also know this terrain as a parent — I'm raising neurodivergent kids of my own — which is part of why I do this work.
That's the lens I bring now. My style is warm, grounded, and direct — calm enough to settle a nervous system, honest enough to gently challenge. I draw from ACT, IFS, CBT, and motivational interviewing, woven together with somatic and yoga-based practice, because for an anxious or wired-differently brain, change often starts in the body, not just the conversation. I see every client fully online, across California, so the right fit matters more than the right zip code.
