Fees & insurance

Let's make the cost part clear.

I am a private-pay, out-of-network therapist. I do not bill insurance directly. Here is what a session costs and how a superbill may help you ask your plan for reimbursement.

What is a superbill?

A receipt you can send to your insurer.

A superbill is a detailed receipt with the information your insurance plan may ask for when you request out-of-network reimbursement. I give it to you; you submit it to your insurer.

Your plan decides whether it offers this benefit and how much it may reimburse. Reimbursement depends on your plan, so please check with the insurer before you start.

Before you begin

Ask your plan a few questions.

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • What is my deductible, and what happens after I meet it?
  • How do I submit a superbill, and where will reimbursement be sent?

How it works

The reimbursement process, step by step.

01

Check your plan

Ask about out-of-network mental health benefits before starting.

02

Pay for your session

You pay the $205 session fee directly to me.

03

Receive your superbill

I provide the receipt with the information your plan may need.

04

Submit it

Send the superbill through your insurer’s process and wait for its decision.

A couple of details

Questions are welcome.

I also accept referrals through Lyra Health. If that is how you found me, mention it when you reach out so I can explain the next step. For a written estimate of expected charges, see the Good Faith Estimate page.
