ONLINE THERAPY FOR UC Berkeley STUDENTS

A place to be honest about how school is actually going

At UC Berkeley, a semester may give you time to settle in, but it can also make it easier to postpone a task or a conversation until the pressure becomes hard to ignore. Therapy can hold the less visible parts of that experience alongside your academic identity.

Academic rhythm

When the calendar changes the shape of your week

Semester system.

A semester can offer more runway, but a longer runway does not always make starting easier. Work can remain abstract for weeks and then become urgent when papers, exams, and commitments converge.

A broader support map

UC Berkeley University Health Services describes CAPS and Social Services counseling options, including same-day or next-day individual appointments, groups, consultations, and referrals for longer-term therapy.

A longer term is not always an easier term

Berkeley’s official academic calendar is organized around fall and spring semesters. For students with ADHD or anxiety, the challenge may be translating a broad stretch of time into workable next steps without relying on panic to create momentum.

A range of campus options

University Health Services publishes counseling options through CAPS and Social Services, including individual, couples, group, and drop-in consultation pathways. Outside therapy may be worth considering when you want a regular online relationship that complements campus support.

Distance and independence

You do not have to explain the whole transition at once

If Berkeley is your first sustained stretch away from home, you may be building a life while renegotiating family expectations, shared housing, finances, and the routines that used to happen automatically.

A seasonal note

The beginning of a semester can feel spacious until the middle of it arrives. A small reset before midterms can include looking at your calendar, your energy, and the standards you are quietly using to judge yourself.

Jessie's approach

Warm, practical, andshaped around your actual life

Our work may include ADHD-informed support, ACT, CBT, IFS or parts work, attachment-based reflection, and somatic or nervous-system tools. We can stay curious about what is happening and keep the work practical enough to use between sessions.
