ONLINE THERAPY FOR UC San Diego STUDENTS
A place to be honest about how school is actually going
At UC San Diego, a 10-week quarter can leave little room between starting a task and needing to show the finished version. You may be managing a demanding academic pace while also trying to understand your own attention, anxiety, friendships, or life away from home.
Academic rhythm
When the calendar changes the shape of your week
Quarter system; each quarter is 10 weeks.
UC San Diego describes its quarter system as fast-moving. For some students, assignments, exams, and decisions about what comes next can begin stacking up before there is much time to catch up.
A broader support map
UC San Diego Counseling and Psychological Services offers counseling, workshops, outreach, groups, and video visits for students. Its site also explains how to make an appointment and find urgent support.

UC San Diego’s official advising page explains that the quarter system moves quickly across three 10-week terms. That pace can make executive-function friction more visible: a delayed start, a missed detail, or one crowded week may affect the next several tasks. Therapy can be a place to look at those patterns without reducing your whole student experience to productivity.
Support that is close by, and support that is yours
CAPS is a campus resource for enrolled students, with counseling and other programs described on its official site. Some students also look for an outside therapist when they want online sessions that continue alongside campus resources and the rest of life in California.
Distance and independence
You do not have to explain the whole transition at once
If you moved away for school, the shift from familiar routines to a large, busy campus can make ordinary tasks feel less contained. Roommates, family expectations, and keeping up with people at home may all take planning.
A seasonal note
On the quarter calendar, the change from fall to winter to spring can arrive quickly. A break may be a useful moment to notice what routines are actually sustainable before the next term begins.
Jessie's approach
Warm, practical, andshaped around your actual life
Our work may include ADHD-informed support, ACT, CBT, IFS or parts work, attachment-based reflection, and somatic or nervous-system tools. We can stay curious about what is happening and keep the work practical enough to use between sessions.
